I want to thank everybody for the input given for my problem on the feed control on my 1985 woodmizer lt40.I finally tried an ohmite rheostat I bought off ebay. It worked good for a little while but finally got hot and quit working. I need to find the right rheostat to put on then I think I will have the problem solved.

Follow the instructions from woodmizer in the manuel. If that is not the problem it might be the feed chain or the double rollers the chain passes over. I was told by a Woodmizer rep that the hydraulic pump of the LT35 is the same as the one for the LT40HD (the super uses two pumps). But there is a noticeable difference in the head of an LT35 and an LT40. The LT40 has more available upgrades. Take a look at both mills in action. My mill has the same capacity as the LT35 (32").
