Lead acetate (what you created by soaking the pellets in vinegar) is one of the WORST CONTAMINANTS and POISONS. It will permeate your skin, it can evaporate and you can breath it, and is almost impossible to remove from ground water/aquatic media. This is only a couple of years of shooting lead free pellets. Switching back to normal lead pellets did not help them get their accuracy back after cleaning their barrels and seasoning and still not as good accuracy as they used to be.
